From start-up to a globally recognised brand

In March this year, our Christchurch Team worked with Ignite Architects to deliver a project for Ethique.

Ethique are on a mission to rid the world of half a billion bottles by 2030, and they now have a beautiful environment to achieve this goal from.  Located in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch, the new office comprises of meeting rooms, an R&D lab, a space for visitors to experience the Ethique story and a soundproof studio for content creation.

Project Scope

Ethique had a clear vision for the new space, create an environment that was lush with a corporate and modern feel and include warm, fun pops of colour to incorporate their distinct brand identity.

This informed the product selection process with Ignite and we worked on a brief to include premium products with high quality finishes to provide an engaging space for staff and a wow first impression for international visitors.

It’s been an exciting project to complete with Ignite Architects and the result is a gorgeous space for visitors, investors, and staff to meet and work, and an exciting addition to the revitalisation of Ōtautahi Christchurch’s central city.

Project Outcomes

The solutions supplied included fully ergonomic Haworth Soji and Fern Chairs and Tidal Premium desks with monitor arms and under desk storage. Giving everyone a set up that encourages healthy levels of movement and supports a range of work styles.

We used a mixture of soft seating and coffee tables to create refresh spaces for staff and guests and to ensure everyone could enjoy these spaces in ultimate comfort we placed acoustic Hush hoods through the open breakout areas.

To ensure we achieved all milestones for this project, we stored product for the fit out in our Christchurch Warehouse while the building was being completed. We worked with and around other trades on site during delivery and installation.

Here’s what Brianne West, Ethique’s Founder had to say about the journey to the new space on LinkedIn…
Almost five years ago to the day, we moved into our first ever 'proper' factory and office. Just six months later we grew out of the factory part of that building (but that's another story for another day.) Last week we moved into our brand spanking new office in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch. Complete with plenty of meeting rooms (a luxury I assure you), a sparkly new R&D lab, an area for visitors to understand our story, a soundproof studio for content creation and (my favourite piece), soon to be a marine fishtank. My incredible COO & business partner Tristan Roberts pulled some crazy hours project managing the build and has created an amazing space for which we are all sincerely thankful. When the rest of the local Ethique team is ready to return to the office, we now have a beautiful environment to continue to build the business towards our goal of ridding the world of half a billion bottles by 2030. Thank you to all who had a hand in building us such a wonderful new HQ!
