Modern learning environments for the tertiary sector

Like modern workspaces, the tertiary sector is evolving their learning environments to accommodate the needs of both staff and students. Allowing for flexible working environments, collaboration and research spaces, deep focus workspace and zones that allow for creativity and innovation are all key design considerations for today’s modern education facilities.

The tertiary sector needs to ensure their spaces are appealing and become places that students and staff alike are drawn to. Campus life reflects the people in it, so it is important for tertiary providers to provide collaborative work settings that people want to spend time in. Durable, appealing furniture solutions that are budget friendly and reconfigurable are a must.

Benefits

Helping you deliver the best education outcomes

Adapting to your people's needs

Maximising your available space and providing intelligent solutions is key to delivering superior workspaces for your team. Space planning and furniture selection can quickly change a collaboration zone to an innovation zone. Research workspaces have very different requirements to the work zones of teaching staff.

We pride ourselves on designing thoughtful spaces that allow for learning, innovating, research and building relationships. Providing a range of options for staff and students to work is also helpful for acknowledging the maturity of the young adults in your space and supporting them to excel in future work environments.

Designing for all types of spaces

Workspace flexibility is key for tertiary education providers, regardless of whether you’re designing an individual quiet workspace, a group collaborative space, multi-use space for learning and gathering, living space for student residents or speciality research or lecture theatre spaces. Modern learning spaces need to quickly scale up or down to suit the needs of their student population and events on the student calendar.

Our approach to managing education workspace design projects focuses on partnership and listening to your staff and student body – What do they need? What will inspire them to come to your campus every day? How do they want to feel when they’re onsite?

We’ll help you with the initial planning and design and wrap-around project management for the duration of the project – even after you’ve moved into your new space.

A dedicated manager

When you partner with Europlan, you’ll have a dedicated Workplace Solutions Manager helping you realise your vision, scope the project, meet your key milestones and budget parameters, and actively manage a sourcing platform to coordinate multiple vendors. We’ll help your team with up front planning, and can manage all sourcing, delivery and installation of your workspace equipment and furniture items.

Extensive product portfolio

We meet our client briefs by designing, supplying and servicing a wide range of high-quality New Zealand made office furniture. We also stock imported commercial office furniture that can meet more specific workspace needs. With three warehouses across New Zealand, we can supply furniture at short notice to our clients, which is helpful when you need to scale quickly or move to alternative premises.

Work with a delivery partner who manages your project end to end

We have a long-standing relationship with providers in the education sector. Our team understands the environment you work in, the unique needs for your furniture and how to delight your team and students alike.

Our large office and public space design and refit projects over the past two years have seen us achieve 98% delivery of all our orders with no damage or defects. Our success is down to our inhouse project managers and nationwide service and support.

If your project has a specific need that can’t be met by a furniture product in our extensive catalogue, we will work with you to design and manufacture a right-fit furniture solution with our New Zealand furniture manufacturers.

In the early stages of your project, your dedicated Europlan Workplace Solutions Manager will share the latest trends in office layouts and healthcare facilities worldwide and advise how you can make the best use of technology, floor space and technology.

Partner with a business who will work with you on your terms

We can be as involved as you want us to be. Whether that is leading a project end to end, or only jumping in for the project elements that need specialist support.

We have a data-led and experience driven approach, ensuring your workplace design will adhere to the latest research but also achieve your goals as an organisation.

It’s important to us that your workspace works for your staff and students both now, and into the future. Future proofing workspace layouts and public areas can be effortless with great planning up front.
