Following a Tender process, Europlan was awarded sole supply for the new purpose designed and high quality facility for Lyttelton Port Company (LPC).
The building is located inside the Port and it brings LPC’s operations and administration staff together for the first time under one roof. LPC’s previous operations and administration building on Norwich Quay had been demolished after suffering significant earthquake damage.
It was important to LPC that all staff at the Port, regardless of role, could enjoy the shared facilities. It was designed in such a way that the heart of the building is the large café area, enable staff across a range of functions to refresh and connect.
Europlan focused on understanding important health & safety requirements required to create an environment for the Port workers to sleep, while delivering a fitout that provided a ‘business as usual’ flow for office staff .
