A custom designed and locally manufactured locker solution.

St Marks is a stunning collection of generously proportioned apartments located in the leafy green streets of Remuera, Auckland. Embraced in sun and bathed in the light, the residence features leading edge design, superior construction and quality of finish.

Europlan created a custom designed and locally manufactured locker solution to provide additional secure storage space for the occupiers of the apartments.

The lockers are manufactured in electro galvanised steel and were designed with a punched roof system to meet fire regulations. In the event of a fire, the roof design allows for the contents of a sprinkler to flow into the locker.

This project required two bespoke sizes of locker to meet a range of storage needs:

  • 2000h x 1680w x 1230d mm
  • 2000h x 2530w x 1230d mm

The lockers each featured double doors for easy access and locks, keeping the contents secure. We painted the lockers in a range of five colours, specified by the client to match the layout on the plans.

Project Management
The locker design, delivery and installation were managed entirely in-house by Europlan. We worked closely with the engineers and construction team to ensure we created a fit for purpose solution that met or exceeded necessary regulations.

Close to deadline it was discovered that the placement of some of the lockers was going to be over drains located in the basement area. We were able to design and manufacture a plinth system for the lockers to sit on. This created clear space for water run off to escape without causing damage to the contents or structure of the lockers.

Project Delivery
Our project team created a delivery and installation plan that took into consideration limits around access and the size of the lockers.

The project required an effective level of communication between the construction project manager and Europlan. This allowed us to successfully navigate any site delays or changes to key milestones, ensuring we managed delivery of the lockers in line with the client’s expectations.
