Park Pods get their debut
In April 2022, Sky TV added a fresh and engaging central city workspace location in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. Our Auckland workplace solutions and project management team worked directly with the team at Sky TV to create a new workspace for their employees, complementing established sites in Mt Wellington and Albany.
For cost and environmental reasons Sky TV opted to utilise the existing workstations from the previous tenant. Europlan had supplied these desks into the project originally and retaining the desking meant our partnership with Sky TV focused on activating the spaces away from the desk.

Flexibility was a big focus for this fit out and many pieces we supplied are on castors or easily moved and reconfigured to change up areas to suit the nature of the work taking place at the time.
This project represented some key milestone solutions, with a world first delivery of the new Park Pod by PLN Group. Designed and manufactured locally in Auckland. This range of lightweight modular office pods gave the fitout focus settings away from the desk that allow the user to remain connected to their environment while working distraction free.
We worked with Sky TV to activate areas across the floorplate and ensure they provided functional use. With technology use front of mind, collaborative settings featured power and data charging solutions so users could work with uninterrupted connectivity.
