In January 2021, Europlan completed the refurbishment of an existing workplace for a Government Agency in Auckland.
We worked with the agency project manager and the team at GHD in Auckland to deliver a 200 work point refit that included a contact centre with training areas, meeting rooms and one on one training rooms.
The agency needed to remain open and functioning during the refurbishment, so we scheduled all project deliveries and installation outside of business hours, focusing on one area at a time to minimise disruption to the business.
The design of the refit and the furniture selection have provided a light and flexible workspace using solutions that are fit for purpose and future proofed.
The function of each space was a key consideration when selecting the right solutions for this project. We worked with the agency to provide a bespoke solution for wrap around desk screens and were able to supply a variety of workstation options from fixed height desks to electric sit to stand in both straight worktops and 120-degree configurations.
It was important that the training rooms were flexible and functional, so we’ve delivered product that is mobile and easy to use. We paid close attention to the storage requirements for this refit, providing ample shared storage in the contact centre and ensuring there is enough personal storage and lockers to house bags, exercise gear and bike helmets.
Each type of work function has tailored product to suit the particular needs of that space, making it obvious to the user what the intended purpose of that area is. Way finding is straight forward and there are practical cues to indicate the type of work taking place across the floorplate.
